A Message from H&R Fabrics

4 generations ago, after World War II, our founder, Howard Tocker, recognized Phoenix as a city with the potential to grow from a sleepy desert community to a bustling major metropolis. In 1965, he and his sons Verne and Ken opened H&R Sales as a small fabric and supply warehouse dedicated to serving the design industry. Now in our 4th generation, we have all spent many Saturdays and school breaks at H&R Fabrics as children. Whether it was sweeping the floor, tidying up the fabrics, packing buttons, or doing other odd jobs, we literally grew up in our business! Over the years, our family has had the great honor to bring our grandfather’s dream to fruition. We have grown to over 15 times our original size, just as Phoenix has grown to be the 5th largest city in the nation. Rebranded as H&R Fabrics in 2000, we carry on his legacy as a 20,000 square foot stocking warehouse of upholstery and home decorating fabrics, trims, and supplies.
